the tale of the beauty and the tail of the beast
the christmas show for creation theatre company at the north wall arts centre, written by paul boyd, christmas 2022.
“Guffawingly funny, poignant and ridiculous, we are enchanted by this mismatched bunch and their trials and tribulations until the very end. So yes, Creation has done it again, proving overwhelmingly why we are so lucky to have them, as the local theatre company sprinkles a little Christmas magic over Oxford. An absolute must for the festive season.” Ox In A Box Magazine
“Off we went to the North Wall in our mittens and hats in search of something sparkly and cheering. We were not disappointed. The Tale of the Beauty and the Tail of the Beast is a little gem of a show in that it manages to deliver a sprinkling of Christmas magic without being garish or clichéd.” Daily Info, Oxford

A proper immersive experience…the acting was charming and the direction felt creative Theatre Weekly
The Time Machine is a thought provoking piece of theatre and is excellently directed by Natasha Rickman LondonTheatre1
With time glitches, shifting realities, predatory Morlocks just out of sight and colour-changing socks, this is an enjoyable and thought-provoking new take on a classic story British Theatre Guide

The nuances in the conversations between Jess and Anna are to be celebrated. From singing along to Electric Dreams to wiping teary mascara – it gives an honest insight into female friendships, something that we are refreshingly seeing more and more of thanks to the likes of Phoebe Waller-Bridge and new up and comers like Leila Nashef. It is a combination of Nashef’s wholesome and witty writing and Natasha Rickman’s clever direction that shines throughout the whole play Phoenix Arts Club Reviews

Twelfth Night
By William Shakespeare
September 2015/July 2017
Rose Playhouse/Crossrail Roof Garden and RSC Dell Stage.
A cast of twelve swapping across four versions of the production
Fun, irreverent The Londonist
In this all-female production, Natasha Rickman, along with the excellent and energetic cast, brings a version of Twelfth Night that engages, amuses, disconcerts and entertains. My only disappointment is that I haven’t yet seen all four nights of experimentation Litro Magazine
Rickman’s production of Twelfth Night is a fantastic experiment and example of reinventing theatre to appeal to more people whilst still retaining the artistic integrity of Shakespeare’s work A Younger Theatre
